Classes are on Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm at Jeffery's Okinawan Kenpo Karate Academy at 408F Northside Drive, Valdosta Ga. 31602
We practice all the different aspects of Aikido: freehand techniques (Tai Jitsu), the defense from multiple attackers (Randori) and weapons.
One person strikes, thrusts, or grabs their partner. The partner then uses that energy to throw them into a roll or pin them to the ground. When combined in a set order (or free-form), they create an almost unlimited variety of techniques.
This keeps Aikido fresh and constantly challenging for beginners as well as advanced students.

Partner practice with bokken (wooden sword)
We use two main wooden weapons: a jo (staff) and a bokken (wooden sword), using them in solo and partner practice.
We take on multiple people attacking us at the same time. We do this in a free-flowing but safe environment where we go slowly at first, but build up to a fairly fast pace.
