Gil Rech was born in Italy in 1982. He is a chemical engineer that moved around the world with his wife and 3 kids.

He has more than 37 years of Martial Arts experience. During his personal exploration in the Way of Budo, he discovered Aikido, and he started to practice it in 1996, in Italy, receiving the 3rd Dan from the Italian Aikido Federation (Aikido Italia) .

In 2018, Gil received the Aikikai Shodan (1st dan) black belt from T.K. Lee Shihan in Huston, TX. In 2023 he received the Nidan (2nd dan) from Patricia Hendricks Shian in California. He has taught all age groups and he is also a Karate 3rd dan black belt.

As engineer Gil is a logical person, who likes math and Science. As Aikido-ka he is a person seeking harmony.

Merging together his Logic (Ri) and his Harmony (Ai), Gil will guide you in your Path of the Ri-Ai quest.
